What can I expect on a typical safari day?

This will give you an idea of what to expect on a typical day’s safari in South Luangwa National Park:

Wakeup Call

Light breakfast: cereals – yoghurt – fresh fruits – toast and marmalade/cold meat – on request scrambled eggs – tea & coffee

10 minutes’ drive to the main gate of the NP (from T&T and Zikomo) – Kaingo is inside the National Park

06:00 – 10:00

First two hours of intense photography because of the good light conditions – last two hours, a combination of photography and a classic guided safari (informative)

Free time (relax at the pool or enjoying a massage)

Afternoon tea/coffee and a snack

15:30- 20:00

Afternoon/ evening drive (first two hours more intensive photography focussed) the after dark hours is for finding nocturnal animals
